Multilingual song in 'Nanban'
Language has no barriers, they say. Proving this now is Harris Jayaraj and Madan Karky, who have come out with a song that will have lyrics in more than 10 different languages.The music composer-lyricist duo is doing this experiement for Vijay-Jiiva-Srikanth starrer 'Nanban', a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 'Three Idiots' and directed by Shankar."The song features words from 15 different world languages. Director Shankar and Harris have always encouraged me to experiment with lyrics in their projects. A big thanks to them," says the son of 'Kaviperarasu' Vairamuthu.
On his part, Harris says, "Madan Karky has done a tremendous job by using more than 10 languages in one song. Very interesting and applaudable job indeed." The number is crooned by Vijay Prakash and is said to be one of the highlights of 'Nanban'.

Harris also predicted that Nanban’s tunes will be the talk of the town once the audio releases. The music director also made it clear that he was never into remix and will not opt for it in future too.
Ko release date confirmed!
Yes, we just heard it from the horse's mouth! Director KV Anand has announced that the release date of his much awaited Ko is set for the 15th of April. This is one movie that has been garnering the attention of the media and the audience ever since its launch. STR was to play the lead but he was later replaced by Jiiva and yesteryear heroine Radha's daughter Karthika Nair makes her Tamil debut with this film. Ajmal and Piaa Bajpai play important roles in this film which will apparently be two times better than Ayan.
The movie is rumored to be about a photo journalist (Jiiva) who helps his friend (Ajmal) to enter politics by offering him the several political contacts he knows. Ajmal wins an election and what happens after that forms the rest of the story. Songs have been tuned by Harris Jayaraj and is topping the charts. Everyone is eagerly awaiting for the movie and we hope Ko will be a bigger hit than Ayan was!
RON97 petrol up 20 sen from tomorrow
The pump price for RON97 petrol will go up 20 sen a litre to RM2.70/litre effective midnight, a source said today.It is the highest jump this year as world oil prices have spiked due to unrest in oil-rich North Africa.
“We received the confirmation notice this evening about the 20 sen rise,” a source told The Malaysian Insider.
The price of the higher-grade RON97 rose 10 sen effective January 31 after a similar hike in early January 2011. It had earlier spiked to RM2.30 last December 1.
It is understood prices of other fuel grades will remain unchanged as only RON97 prices are determined by a market float.
The government had said it would review all options to ensure that it can maintain the price of the RON95 grade, used by most motorists, despite rising global prices.
