Silambarasan postpones for Danush
Silambarasan’s Osthi was planned for a November release and there was a huge expectation that it would clash with Dhanush’s Mayakkam Enna. Movie buffs were expecting these films to release at least a day apart.

Now that actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has given birth to a cute-looking baby girl at around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the 16th November, the print media is full of reports about the reaction of Ash’s parents, her in-laws, husband, other relatives and friends. Reports have already started surfacing as to how the 2-day old infant looks like.
Ash didn’t need a Cesarean section and delivered ‘Junior Ash’ through normal delivery. Tweeting on his social networking site about his new-born grand-daughter, a proud Amitabh has said, “The baby occasionally opens its eyes; from what I observed, her eyes are as beautiful and as bright as her mother’s. She looks very cute indeed.”

Actor Ritheesh Kumar arrested on land grabbing case [Video]
Ritheesh, elected to Lok Sabha from Ramanathapuram, was arrested following a complaint from Samikannu of Pappangudi village in Kancheepuram district, police source in land grabbing cell told PTI.
In his complaint, Samikannu alleged that his 1.47 acres of land was grabbed by Ritheesh using forged documents.
Ritheesh, a first time MP, is a party strongman in Ramanathapuram.
After coming to power in May, the Tamil Nadu government has launched a crackdown on land grabbing, putting several DMK leaders, including some MLAs and former ministers, in jail.
The DMK has alleged that the government's action smacks of political vendetta.
The case against Riteesh is that he has obtained land illegally to the extent of about 2 acres in Sriperumbudhur, near Chennai using forged documents. Riteesh was last seen in the film Nayagan.
Suriya's Maatraan to cross Rs. 100 Crores Business
Everybody in Kodambakkam is talking about Maatraan's business and the record it is expected to set inthe next few days.
Industry Sources revealed that the family close to TN ruling government is now in talks with AGS to buy Maattrraan domestic rights for 70 to 80 Crores. AGS already sold Maattrraan overseas rights have been already sold for Rs. 12 Crores and Telugu rights through Suriya for Rs. 17 Crores. If the domestic rights sell for more than Rs. 70 Crores, Maattrraan will become the 2nd movie in South India to have done business for more than Rs. 100 Crores closely behind Enthiran.
While verifying this with an experienced insider in the trade, he was not surprised that Maattraan is scorching hot in the trade. He quoted as a matter of fact that "the ceiling amount of a Star's previous movie becomes the floor for his next in the Tamil Industry". Given that logic, Suriya's 7am Arivu even after receiving mixed reviews from audience and trashed by popular critics, the movie is expected to collect more than Rs.70 Crores and Suriya previous superhit Singham also collected roughly in that ballpark. KV Anand who is gunning for a hattrick blockbuster also collected roughly around 70 Crores for modestly budgeted Ayan and KO. Our source concluded by saying Rs.70 Crores may sound shockingly high for outsiders and record keepers. Given the positive buzz about the movie and from an economic perspective, distributors feel that it is safe to bet Rs.100 Crores on this winning team.
To course the trajectory, total business of Suriya's previous movies were sold for under 20 Crores for Vaaranam Aayiram and Ayan. Aadhavan and Singham business were around Rs. 35 Crores. 7am Arivu was around Rs. 60 Crores(incl. Telugu).
SJ Surya turns music director for his next movie 'Isai'!
Writer,director and actor SJ Suryah is now turning music director with his new film.
SJ Suryah is all set to do a T Rajendar. He will act, direct, produce and compose music for a film titled 'Isai',
Suryah himself told the media at Urumi audio launch.
Suryah on the sidelines of the audio launch said: " Yes I will be composing music for my forthcoming film, a bilingual which will be titled Isai in Tamil. I will be acting and directing the film which will be a musical entertainer."
The project is going to be a bilingual, simultaneously to be made in Tamil and Telugu. Remember Suryah is popular in Tollywood, thanks to films like Pawan Kalyan starrer 'Komaram Puli'. "Since there will be a lot of importance to music, the project has been titled Isai."
Saying that he was very much interested towards music right from the days he was very young, Suryah says with an optimistic smile, "But I was doubtful about scoring music for a complete movie since it requires a lot of knowledge. Now I am confident of making it."

Says the actress, “I am so happy that Engaeyum Eppothum, one of the important movies in my career, is releasing in Telugu. Titled Journey, I am sure that the film would impress the audience in Andhra Pradesh.” Only recently Anjali’s ‘Angadi Theru’ was dubbed in Tollywood as ‘Shopping Mall’.
Producer Suresh Kondeti is releasing ‘Engaeyum Eppothum’ in Telugu and he is hopeful about its success, courtesy the performance of some of the recently dubbed Tamil movies in the box-office. “The movie has a very good script and director Saravanan has presented it in a different package,” he says.

Genelia wedding on 4th February
Finally, actress Genelia is all set to enter wedlock with her long time boy friend and actor Riteish Deshmukh on 4th February putting an end to the intense speculations around their love story. The venue for the big day has been finalized as Hyatt Regency in Mumbai.

The baby, their first child, was born at the Seven Hills Hospital. Mother and daughter were both doing fine.
"IT'S A GIRL!!," Abhishek, 35, posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.com. He had recently said he wanted a daughter who looked like Aishwarya.
Proud grandfather Amitabh Bachchan too couldn't control his happiness and tweeted: "I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl, A dada ji ... Ecstatic."
Hospital sources said the delivery was normal and came a few minutes before 10 a.m. The Bachchan and Rai families were present for the momentous occasion.
Aishwarya, 38, developed labour pains around 4 a.m. and was taken to the labour room where the delivery took place after nearly six hours.
The actress is on the fifth floor of the luxury private hospital in Andheri east.
The hospital had booked three rooms on the floor -- one for Aishwarya, the other for the Bachchan family and the third for the Rai family. The entire floor was kept out of bounds for all except the two families.
The hospital has been under tight security for the past three days in expectation of the youngest member of the Bachchan family.
Aishwarya was admitted to the hospital Monday night, according to her spokesperson.
The Bachchan family had been waiting for the baby's arrival for a few days and preparing for the child's welcome.
The girl is Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan's third grandchild, after Agastya and Navya Naveli -- children of his daughter Shweta and son-in-law Nikhil Nanda.
Aishwarya tied the knot with Abhishek in April 2007 and rumours about her pregnancy had been doing the rounds ever since.
In June this year, when Amitabh announced her pregnancy through Twitter, it grabbed the headlines.
A 10-point advisory by the Broadcast Editor's Association (BEA) reportedly asked TV channel heads to curtail media coverage regarding the high-profile delivery.

Director AL Vijay and Vikram had recently teamed up for ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, an offbeat film in Tamil cinema. Now, both of them are yet again teaming up for Thaandavam which is quite contrasting genre to their earlier offering. Vikram, who plays the role of Shiva, will romance Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson in the film.
The regular shoot of Thaandavam will commence from December while the unit will head to America in January for a long 60 day schedule. Thaandavam has cinematography by Nirav Shah, music by GV Prakash, lyrics by Na Muthukumar and art by Naagu.

Suriya plans a trip to Africa?
After working hard for months without even taking a small break, Suriya seems to be in a mood to holiday. “It has been a long time sine I had been out with my family members. Every Sunday I would promise to be with Jyothika and kids, but unable to honour it due to professional commitments,” he says.
Quiz him on his favourite destination with family, pat comes the reply from the ’7aum Arivu’ actor. “No doubt it’s Africa. I always wanted to take Jo, Diya and Dev there since they like animals a lot. Also, they love to see historical places.”
Suriya’s interest for Africa was ignited when he was shooting there for KV Anand’s ‘Ayan’ a couple of years ago. “It is a beautiful and quite unassuming place. A safari in the deep jungles of Africa would be a perfect treat for my wife and kids. Hopefully we would go there soon.”

The producers of Billa 2, IN Entertainment announced today that the negative lead will be played by Vidyut Jammwal, who has been making waves for his performance in Nishikant Kamat’s Force, the Hindi remake of Kaakha Kaakha. The makers of Billa 2 have said that it was decided that he would be the ideal antagonist for Ajith in Billa 2 as he is very good at action – oriented roles and also has a tremendous screen presence.
Sonia works with 8 directors
Eight leading directors have acted in ‘Oru Nadigayin Vaakumoolam’, a movie which marks the comeback of Sonia Agarwal in Kollywood. Four of them appeared in a particular sequence, which required them to act like working with Sonia in film shoots.
“Since Sonia is playing a leading actress in this movie, one such scene became mandatory. Based on the request of director Rajkrishna, filmmakers Vikraman, Rasu Maduravan, A Venkatesh and Suraj stood in front of the camera and acted like they were shooting with Sonia,” sources say.
The other four filmmakers are Rajkapoor, Manobala, Velmurugan and Rajkrishna himself, who have played small yet significant roles, we learn. Produced by ‘Punnagai Poo’ Geetha of ‘Arindhum Ariyamalum’ and ‘Pattiyal’ fame, ‘Oru Nadigayin Vaakumoolam’ is taking shape fast.
Talking about the movie, Sonia says, “The film is not inspired by my real life story or that of any other actress. It is just a collage of experiences of various actresses in the industry. It will throw light on happenings in the movie industry, however in an interesting manner”.
Nayan’s ‘last film’ in Tamil?
‘Sri Rama Rajyam’, the Tollywood film which is touted as the last for Nayantara, as she is set to marry her boyfriend Prabhudeva soon, will speak in Tamil too. The Balakrishna-starrer is being dubbed and released in Tamil Nadu under the same title.
While Balakrishna has played the role of Lord Rama, Nayantara has played Goddess Seetha. Veterans Nageswara Rao, K R Vijaya, Brahmanandam, Jayasudha and Roja have performed crucial roles in this film which has music by maestro Ilayaraja.
Directed by Bapu, ‘Sri Rama Rajyam’ is produced by Kiran under the Future Films banner. Veteran lyricist Piraisoodan will take care of dialogues and lyrics for the Tamil version, which is expected to release simultaneously along with the Telugu original.
“Both Balakrishna and Nayantara followed rigorous strict vegetarian diet and other rituals while working for the movie, as they had played powerful roles of Rama and Seetha. The film’s audio was released recently and songs by Ilayaraja became instant hits in Andhra Pradesh,” sources say.

Ajith and Vijay Join after 16 years?
These days Vijay and Ajith fans seem to get closer. It is because both the actors are showing good bond between them at various occasions. Now the news is that some big wig producers are planning to rope Vijay and Ajith the top two actors in the remake of yesteryear blockbuster Sholay starring Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra along with Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan in the female lead.
Jai and Veeru (the heroes) are very close friends who robs to live their life. At one point a police officer catches and jails them. One day the police officer makes a deal, to kill the most dreaded goonda of his village Gabbar (Amjad). These two eventually accept the offer and how they eliminate Gabbar in the end is the story.
If this becomes true then this will be big comeback for the Ajith and Vijay combo after 16 long years. Their last combo was seen in the 1995 film Rajavin parvaiyilae.
Harris Jayaraj About Nanban
With the deadline set for the audio launch, Harris is concentrating on completing this. Director Shankar, meanwhile, is busy with the post-production work and is expected to wrap it up soon. Nanban will hit the screens for Pongal 2012, stated Shankar recently. The film’s dubbed version in Telugu, 3 Rascals, was originally planned to be released along with Nanban but now we hear the release has been postponed.
Nanban has some big names associated with it like Vijay, who plays the lead role with Ileana as his lead pair.

Thala Ajith shocks director
Ajith who was mostly called as Thala gave a shock to a director. Ajith who is shooting for his Billa 2 in outskirts came to hear about a director who was trying to make fun of his fan given title Thala. The director is Tamil Padam fame CS Amudhan, at first he kept the title Thalavalli for his second venture. Stating that it would be a spoof on Thala and IlayaThalapathy.
So fans of Ajith who fondly calls their star as Thala got heated up, and this news spread widely and reached the star himself. So he made a call to director Amudhan and said “i don’t mind making fun of me, but my fans will be heart broken”. So kindly try to switch over to some other title thala, he requested. Seeing Ajith’s great gesture the director got shocked and changed the film title to “Irandavathu Padam” with Vimal in the lead and also regretted for the inconvenience caused.
