Rajinikanth cameo in Ra One
Super Star Rajinikanth who is currently recuperating from surgery is gearing up for his next project Rana under the direction of Ks Ravi Kumar. Meanwhile, the latest buzz is Rajinikanth has agreed to play a cameo in Shahrukh Khan starrer Ra One. Rajini will come to the rescue of Shahrukh and Kareena Kapoor in one of the scenes of the movie. Not only that, the Super Star will also deliver a popular dialogue from his blockbuster hit Basha.
This will be a feast to watch both the Super Stars sharing screen space together for a movie. The shooting part involving Rajini will commence on October 4 at Ramoji film City, Hyderabad. Ra One is the most expensive film on Indian Cinema till date. The film is releasing on October 26 on the eve of Diwali in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil in both 2D and 3D formats.
The film is produced by Shahrukh’s home production house Red Chillies Entertainment and presented by Eros International Ltd.
Suriya pairs Abhinaya in 7am Arivu
Latest buzz in the tinsel town is that Naadodigal fame Abhinaya has paired Suriya in 7am Arivu. Yes, don’t get confused, Abhinaya has shared the screen space with Suriya in the flashback while Shruti Haasan will be seen as the main lead pair.
The director of the film AR Murugadoss has instructed the team not to reveal this secret until the film releases but somehow it has been revealed through some media sources.
Though Abhinaya’s role appears in the flashback but she has enough weightage in the film. The flashback is said that the flashback in the film forms the crux of the story. If all goes well 7am Arivu will be a landmark film Abhinaya’s career.
The audio launch of the film is set to take place on September 22nd in Chennai while the film is slated for Diwali release.
All about Vikram’s Rajapattai
Vikram is playing the role of a gym instructor is Anal Murugan, which is well known to all of us but there is another shade in his character. Yes, he is also playing as a stunt man in movies and his aim in life is to turn as a main villain in the industry. Rajapattai will be his fastest film from start of shoot to release, in a record eight months. The film deals with the sensitive theme incidents of land grabbing and the police action on the wrong-doers.
Kankaratna Ramesh has started the film under a banner SP Creations but later on backed off and the film was taken over by leading businessman Prasad V Potluri and his banner PVP Cinemas. PVP Cinemas known for their professional management has completed 85 % of the shoot in just four months time.
It is rumoured that the film is made with a budget of nearly Rs 39 Cr and this is going to be Vikram’s most expensive film in his career.
Rajapattai is likely to be released in December and director revealed that Chiyaan’s fans will be awestruck to see the actor in a full-fledged masala role after a long gap.
S P Charan denies misbehavior
He said, ‘ I had attended the party and Sona was also present. Everything went normal. There were some business discussions. That’s all. Wonder how she could make such false charges. I am startled’.

Selvaraghavan, Harris Jeyaraj to team up
Director Selvaraghavan is reportedly keen to work with music director Harris Jayaraj for his film Irandaam Ulagam, which stars Arya and Anushka. Since Harris is going on a four month world tour for his music concert, he will start composing for Selvah’s film only after December.
Earlier this year, Harris had tweeted that he will be teaming up with Selva for a Telugu film but now, it is said that Selvah is doing that film in Tamil as Irandaam Ulagam.

In a very shocking press meet, Actress Sona accuses Actor-Producer SPB Charan of attempting to rape and misbehave with her during the Mankatha Success Party. According to the actress, the party was organized by the Mankatha team boys at the Actor Vaibhav’s house and she attended the party, as director Venkat Prabhu & Premji Amaran are her close friends.
As per the actress statement, She was supposed to produce Venkat Prabhu’s next film but the plan was dropped due to financial constraints. SPB Charan, who asked to transfer the director Venkat Prabhu’s dates to him, asked about the rate for the dates as well as for her also in a double entendre manner.
He also then tried to grabbed and sexually assault her. Actor Premgi Amaran pulled him away and saved her from any mischievousness. Actress Sona said, she also lodged a formal complaint against SPB Charan for the attempted rape and offered him a 10 days time deadline to publicly apologize to her.

Director KV Anand Will Take Ko-2
Grapevine has it that Ko’s co-producer James will make his acting debut with the sequel. James has shown a keen interest in the sequel and will don the greasepaint for the first time, sources say.

Vikram plays cop next, pairs with Anushka & Amy
This one’s straight from the horse’s mouth. Director AL Vijay has confirmed that Vikram is playing a police officer in his forthcoming film, which will have Anushka and Amy Jackson as heroines.
“It will be an edge of the seat action thriller. It is a conscious decision that the genre should be entirely different when we (Vijay and Vikram) come together after Deiva Thirumagal,” says the filmmaker.
To be produced by UTV Motion Pictures, the movie will be mostly shot abroad, especially the United States. Only certain portions will be canned in India and Vijay has left for the US to zero in on the locations. Shooting will kick-start at the US this December. The film will be a UTV Dhananjeyan � Ronnie Screwala production venture.
The shooting will start next month and will be completed in one go. It is being planned to release the film by May 2012, as a summer treat to the audience. Cinematography will be by Nirav Shah and editing by Antony while music by G V Prakash Kumar.

Finally, Suriya’s much awaited film 7am Arivu has completed its special effects at Stan Winston Studios in US.
7am Arivu is the second Indian film which has done its special effects at Stan Winston, earlier it was Shankar’s sci-fi entertainer Enthiran which has done its special effects over there. The team members reveal that the special effects of the film stand as one of the highlights of the film.
According to the close sources it is revealed that the special effects are going to be talk of the tinsel town and also will be on par with Hollywood films. Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has spent nearly Rs 10 Crore for the first ten minutes of the film.
Some of the Hollywood films done at Stan Studios are the Terminator series, the Jurassic Park series, Aliens, the Predator series, Iron Man and the biggest of them all Avatar.
7 am Arivu is made with a whopping budget of Rs. 84 crores and surprisingly this is the highest budget film in Suriya’s career till date.
Kamal still search heroine For Viswaroopam
It looks like Kamal Haasan’s heroine hunt is still going on for his Viswaroopam.
The film is said to be an action packed thriller, where Kamal plays a police officer assigned to infiltrate into a terrorist organisation.
The heroine is said to be a crucial aspect as the character is said to be a “double agent”.
First it was said that Sonakshi Sinha would be the heroine but she backed out after delay in starting the film. Next some Bollywood heroines were bandied about, but nothing came about it.
Latest heroine who has been shortlisted is Sameera Reddy. However, sources say that others are still being considered for the pivotal heroine role.

Lakshmi Rai was not offered Trisha’s role, he confirmed. All that Trisha had to say was that she got to play Ajith’s pair in the film and that is all that mattered now.
