Ek Tha Tiger remake is a rumor: Jayam Raja
Recently there were reports in the media that, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is being roped in to replace Salman Khan in the remake of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. And a section of them have reportedly said Jayam Raja, who has acquired success with remake films earlier will be directing this venture too.
Now Raja has took out some of his time to deny these reports. The ace director Jayam Raja said, there are no plans to remake Ek Tha Tiger and with Vijay instead. Ek Tha Tiger has got a huge success worldwide and has collected 199+Crores till date breaking even the records of ‘3 Idiots’.
However, while Jayam Raja has denied the Tamil remake some sources say a leading Tollywood producer has bought the Telugu remake rights. Nothing is confirmed as of now and viewers have to wait a while for the official announcements about Ek Tha Tiger remake.
Kajal Agarwal to romance Jeeva in Yaan
Kajal Agarwal, the stunning beauty of South is getting ready to romance Jeeva after Suriya and Vijay. Yes the actress is reported to be playing the love lead for Jeeva in his upcoming movie Yaan.
Bollywood ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran is turning director for the first time with Jeeva starrer Yaan. Ravi was keen to rope in a B-town glam for Jeeva, but chose Kajal Agarwal who is making big time in South as well as North India. Yaan will be simultaneously made in Hindi and Telugu alongside Tamil, which casts Sanjay Dutt in a vital role.
Yaan will be produced by Elred Kumar that will go on floors soon. Meanwhile Jeeva and Kajal Agarwal are gearing up for the releases of their upcoming movies Mugamoodi, Maatran and Thuppakki et al and also busy with the shootings simultaneously.
Maattrraan to rock from 12 Oct
There were initial reports that Maattraan would hit the screens in September itself. However with Mugamoodi releasing in the fag end of August and Thandavam slated for September, the makers of Maattrraan have chosen to play it safe. The film is now confirmed for release on 12 October.
The movie featuring Suriya in the role of conjoined twins, and Kajal Agarwal has music by Harris Jayaraj and is directed by Ko-fame K V Anand and is expected to be an action-thriller. Says Anand, ‘I read about conjoined twins and their way of life while on a flight.
After discussing it with my assistants, I came up with a screenplay with a beautiful twist. I casually mentioned the story to Suriya and forgot all about it. A year ago, he called me and asked me to work on the script. That’s how Maattrraan began’.

Thillu Mullu2 firstlook unvieled
Thillu Mullu2 is the upcoming remake venture that casts Shiva and Isha Thalwar in the lead roles. The firstlook posters of Thillu Mullu2 are released recently and the makers have arranged the muhurtham today.
The firstlook posters of Thillu Mullu2 are hilarious; they show Prakash Raj holding Shiva in his coat pockets in different poses. Shiva is replacing the role played by Superstar Rajinikanth in Thilli Mullu while Prakash Raj is reprising ‘Thengai’ Srinivasan’s role. Makers have arranged pooja and Muhurtham today, which had the presence of Kollywood biggies and best wishes from Shiva’s friends namely Venkat Prabhu, Premgie Amaren, Vibhav, Dhananjayan et al.

Suji Bala clarifies on her suicide attempt
Suji Bala has issued a clarification on her suicide attempt news which made it to the headlines yesterday. The actress said that she did not attempt suicide but took some wrong medicines mistakenly.
Stating that there are no problems with the wedding arrangement between her and newbie director Ravi Kumar, Suji Bala made it clear that their wedding will take place as planned in October. She also pointed out that Madha Gaja Raja, directed by Sundar C, will be last flick after which she will settle for marital bliss.
Kamal and Suriya to clash!
Maatraan and its Telugu version Duplicate are slated for release on October 12th and on the same day Kamal Haasan’s Viswaroopam and its Telugu version will also make it to the theatres, we hear.

Sources are rife with news ever since Gautham Menon met Kamal Haasan yesterday that the director is planning to rope him in for Yohan Adhyayam Ondru. Vijay recently moved out of the project and Gautham had said that he is yet to think about casting another star.
But Kamal and Gautham’s meeting has sparked off a speculation that they discussed Yohan and that Kamal had given his go ahead. It may be mentioned here that Kamal and Gautham had teamed up for Vettaiyadu Vilayadu which was a smash hit.
We can expect an official announcement on this from Gautham as soon as he is done with Nee Thaane En Pon Vasantham/Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu.
Vikram and Venkat Prabhu!
Vikram is keen on working with Venkat Prabhu, say sources. It is said that Vikram had requested Venkat to prepare a script for him even before he began the Ajith starrer Mankatha. Later, the director got himself busy with Biriyani and Vikram moved on to a couple of projects.
The star is again looking forward for an opportunity to star in a film to be directed by Venkat and has even agreed to share the screen space with other stars. Looks like Vikram is eager to star in a multi-starrer and Venkat Prabhu may be the lucky one to wield the megaphone for it!
Actress Manorama hospitalized
Veteran actress Manorama, popularly known as Aachi (Grandmother), has been hospitalized yesterday following breathing complaints. The former actress was not keeping well for the past few days after she had a fall in the bathroom early this year. This supreme comedienne completed 50 years in films recently. Recently she was signed by director Hari to play an important role in his next flick, Singam 2.
Interestingly, she is the only actor who has acted with four Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu, namely Annadurai (Naan Kanda Hindu Rajyam), Karunanidhi (Udaya Sooryan), M.G. Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa (Nidhi and Galata Kalyanam). She has also acted with the legendary NTR, who later became the Chief Minister of A.P.

Will AR Rahman act?
A Malayalam filmmaker is reported to have invited the Oscar winner AR Rahman to do a guest role in his film. The film is about five friends and one of the friends work as member of the AR Rahman’s troupe.
When the director approached the music director with a request to film a few scenes in his studio, Rahman gave the go-ahead. Sources close to the film unit say that the director is keen on casting Rahman in a cameo as he feels that would give more weightage to the script. But the Oscar winner is yet to give his assent, we hear.

Shankar and his ‘du’ sentiment
Shankar, the showman of Tamil cinema, is busy with his next film, I, featuring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead.
Produced at a staggering cost of Rs 140 crore by Aascar Ravichandran, the music has been composed by A.R. Rahman. The title of the Telugu version is Manoharudu.
In Tamil, I means beauty, king and vulnerability while Manoharudu means handsome guy. Shankar has an affinity for titles ending with ‘du’ in Tollywood.
Titles of many of his earlier Telugu hits also end with ‘du’ — Premikudu (Kaadhalan),Okay Okkadu (Mudhalvan), Bharatheeyu-du (Indian) and Aparichudu (Anniyan).
While P.C. Sriram is behind the camera, we hear that Shankar is on the lookout for yet another heroine for the film.
The reason why Vijay dropped from Yohan Adhyayam Ondru movie..
Gautham Menon is reported to have said that when he narrated the one-liner of Yohan Adhyayam Ondru, Vijay liked it so much that he gave his go-ahead. But when he completed the script, the star felt that he was not cut-out for the role and requested the director to make some changes.
Since Gautham was not willing to go in for the changes and Vijay had no time to wait as AL Vijay was ready with a script for him, he decided to move over to that project.
That is the reason behind Yohan getting dropped, revealed Gautham Menon.
