Vijay’s next is titled as Thalaivan

Vijay, the handsome actor who is busy shooting for Thuppakki with director Murugadoss and lined up with Gautham Menon’s Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru, is reported to have signed ace director A.L.Vijay.

A.L. Vijay has finished the script for his next with Vijay that is titled as Thalaivan, which is touted to be an action entertainer that will have music by G.V.Prakash. Meanwhile Madrasapattinam director is busy with Vikram, Anushka, Amy Jackson, Lakshmi Rai and Jagapathi Babu starrer Thaandavam.

Latest on Thalaivan movie is that it would start rolling only after Vijay completes his earlier commitments with AR Murugadoss and Gautham Menon. It was earlier reported by a trustable birdie that, Vijay would commence Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru and Thalaivan in June, so that Vijay can shoot for both the films simultaneously. However Vijay is busy with the last leg of Thuppakki shooting with beautiful actress Kajal Agarwal.

Vadivelu is back?

Vadivelu, who has been off screen for the past few months, might be back with Marupadiyum Oru Kadhal. The film is being directed by newbie Vasu Baskar. The film also introduces a bunch of new faces to the industry. If reports are to be believed, Vadivelu is donning the role of a doctor.

The witty actor was last seen in Mambattiyan starring Prashanth. There are also news wandering around Kollywood that Chimbudevan is planning to make a sequel of Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, which featured Vadivelu in a dual role.

Kochadaiyaan teaser to be released

Sources say that Superstar Rajinikanth starrring Kochadaiyaan is almost getting ready for its September release. But, it is also heard that the film’s teaser is expected to hit the screens within a short period of time.
Post-Production works for the film is going in full swing, also a team has said to come out with a stunning teaser adds sources.

The film has Deepika Padukone as the female lead along with a big star cast which includes Aadhi, Naseer, Sarathkumar, Jackie Shroff, Shobana.

The film is directed by Soundarya Ashwin and has music by AR Rahman.

Jayam Ravi to do a dual role in Aadhi Bhagavan?

Jayam Ravi, who is currently shooting the climax sequence for his upcoming movie Aadhi Bhagavan in Goa, is gearing up to do dual role for the first time in his career.

If sources are to be believed, the actor will be playing the dual roles as a 50-year old man and a youngster in his forthcoming Tamil/Telugu bilingual untitled venture. Samuthirakani will don the directors’ cap for this film that casts Amala Paul as the female lead. Vasan Visual Ventures will be producing this film. Birdie says, “Samuthirakani’s directorial is going to be a revolutionary film.”

“This movie will be the first of its type that also adds a new dimension to Ravi’s career,” further he added. “The actor is thrilled about his role in the film. Director has loaded the script with many interesting elements,” he concluded. Ravi is lined up with Aascar V Ravichandran producing Boologam with Trisha as his love interest that will be helmed by Kalyan Krishna.

Srikanth as Karate master in Ethiri En 3

Srikanth, the Nanban star is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming film titled Ethiri En 3. Poonam Bajwa is playing Srikanth’s love interest in this action thriller, Ethiri En 3.
Ramkumar handles the story, screenplay and direction of Ethiri En 3, which is edge of the seat action thriller that revolves around the life of a Software Engineer who falsely becomes accused of committing a crime and gets involved into a gang war.

The firstlook unveiled recently shows Srikanth as a Karate master. Ethiri En 3 has wrapped up its shooing and the makers are said to be busy with the post production works. Sixth Sense is producing Ethiri En 3 that has music by Dharan and cinematography by Shaman Mithru. Srikanth’s Ethiri En 3 is expected to hit the screens in this summer vacation.

Maatraan music 85% done: Harris Jayraj

Harris Jayaraj, the happening music composer is back with his Ayan combo Suriya and K.V. Anand and their upcoming venture is titled as Maatraan. The ace music scorer has spilled beans on his new venture Maatraan.

The Oru kal Oru Kannadi music composer speaking about Suriya and Kajal starrer Maatraan said, “Maatraan album is almost done with its work, the entire album will be ready within a month of time and the makers are planning to release the audio soon.” Further he added, “We finished 3 songs in 7 days; Composition for album of Maatraan was done in 6 countries. KV Anand and I traveled on a cruise and the ship has touched many countries in its journey, mostly along the Mediterranean Sea and the idea was entirely Anand’s.”

Currently Harris Jayraj is composing for some of the most awaited films of the year Arya- Anushka’s Irandam Ulagam being directed by Selvaraghavan, Vijay- Kajal Agarwal’s Thuppakki being directed by Murugadoss and Jeeva- Trisha’s Endrendrum Punnagai, including Suriya- Kajal Agarwal’s Maatraan with director K.V.Anand.

Harris Jayaraj On Maatraan

Harris Jayaraj currently is currently composing for some of the most expected films of the year including ‘Maatraan’, ‘Irandam Ulagam’, ‘Thupaki’ and many more biggies.

Speaking on the status of ‘Maatraan’ he says, “85% of Maatraan music is over. In a month’s time, I will be completing the rest of the work and in about 45 days, the audio would be ready for release. Maatraan composition was done in 6 countries. We were going on a cruise and the ship used to touch many countries in its journey and it was mostly along the Mediterranean Sea. And the idea was entirely KV Anand’s. We finished 3 songs in 7 days!”

‘Maatraan’ features Suriya Sivakumar and Kajal in the lead roles. It brings back the hit combo of ‘Ayan’, that is to say, KV Anand – Harris Jayaraj – Suriya.

Speaking on ‘Irandam Ulagam’ he says, “After a long time, I am working with Vairamuthu sir. Irandam Ulagam will be a musical treat for all music lovers. We have six songs with good lyrics and it is getting better day by day and we are all excited about the project”.

Vijay goes to Bollywood

Call it Prabhudeva’s charm. The actor-choreographer and director now takes Vijay to Bollywod. Hold on! Vijay is not playing the lead role in the film. Rather he appears in a song to shake his legs with Akshay Kumar for Rowdy Rathore, a movie directed by Prabhudeva.

Vijay is a prolific dancer and to cash in on his dancing talent, Prabhudeva takes him to Bollywood. Vijay and Akshay Kumar would shake legs for an intro song in the movie, which is a remake of Tamil hit Siruthai.
