Synopsis:
Picking up the storyline from where Singam ended, Duraisingam (Suriya) has gone undercover after meeting the Home Minister and is working as an NCC officer in a school in Thoothukudi. The only people who know about this operation are the Chief Minister and Home Minister apart from himself. Sathya (Hansika Motwani) is a student who falls for Duraisingam though he is waiting to marry Kavya (Anushka Shetty), his love interest from the previous film. Susai (Santhanam), a local who works in the same school shows Duraisingam parts of Thoothukudi and also tells him about the rouge elements dominating the area helping him in his surveillance. He requests the Home Minister to transfer Erimalai (Vivek) and another cop for assisting him. Sathya's moves are frequently repulsed by Duraisingam who learns that Sathya is the niece of Thangaraj (Rahman). Bhai (Mukesh Rishi) and Thangaraj, are two criminals who control the area. Bhai and Thangaraj have connections with an international gangster and drug lord Danny (Danny Sapani). Though Bhai and Thangaraj are partners in their smuggling business, they conceal their partnership to the outside world and pretend like arch rivals when they are out in the public. How Durai Singam defeats the enemies and brings down their empire forms the crux of the story.

Synopsis:
Kumar (Siddharth) is a software engineer who lives in a joint family. All of the marriages in his family have been love marriages for generations. Mokia then intervenes and breaks up George and Sanjana. Sanjana and Kumar finally get together but Mokia tries to break them apart after he discovers that Sanjana is actually his sister. Then, Kumar admits to Sanjana that he manipulated her feelings but then seeks her forgiveness. Then they get back together, even with the acceptance of Mokia who sees Kumar's true love for his sister.

The film was kicked-off on July 23 in Chennai and has been wrapped up in a quick succession. Ethir Neechal has a modern-day story sans cheap comedy, vulgar dialogues or inappropriate scenes.

Nayantara and Dhanush's special number 'Sathiyama ni enakku...' is one of the main attractions of Ethir Neechal. According to the director, it is a soup number, just like 'Kolaveri di...'. It is kind of a love failure song.

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

The neighborhood boys then decide to bring Simbu as a gift for Sowmiya's birthday, but Simbu says he does not know anyone named Sowmiya. They then hire a thug named "Kolaveri" David to kidnap Simbu, but he kidnaps Sowmiya instead when he learns he is supposed to kidnap Simbu. After Simbu refuses to help her, Shiva, KK and Power go and save Sowmiya, and she falls in love with Shiva, because Power and KK had earlier beaten Sowmiya's uncle and father severely.

Synopsis:
It has a stunning beginning with a much-talked train chase sequence. A group of thugs chase Anushka Shetty, and Karthi comes to rescue her and bashes them up. The first 10 minutes is thrilling and the action sequence have been brilliantly shot, despite the fact that the audience can easily make out that the scenes have been choreographed on a still train at parts.

Immediately after the sequence, we are introduced to comedian Santhanam's family, which consists of his mother and three younger sisters. Alex Pandian settles down at his house in spite of stern opposition from Santhanam. The hero flirts with all his three sisters played by Nikita Thukral, Sanusha and Akanksha Puri. The first half is full of comedy and a few fights.
