Nayanthara is fed up

Nayanthara is sick of public interest in her private life. Press hounds are busy obssessing over her upcoming marriage to Prabhu Deva and speculating endlessly over everything from her bridal couture to what she is likely to name her children. She has gone into hibernation and has literally buried herself in work.

The actress is currently shooting for a Telugu film, Sri Rama Rajyam in Hyderabad. She will be portraying Sita. Balakrishna is Ram and Srikanth will be playing Lakshmana. Nayan is taking her role very seriously and has put herself on a strictly veggie diet and is studiously avoiding parties. All this self-prescribed austerities are to help her get under the skin of her character. We think it will also keep her out of trouble and serve as a safeguard against negative publicity!

TR talks about his next

Vijaya T Rajendar has spilled the beans on his next venture, ‘Oru Thalai Kadhal’, saying that the film will be an out and out romantic entertainer, targeted at ‘youth audience’. “Because, only youngsters are coming to theatres these days,” he says.

The multifaceted personality, who is playing the lead role, besides directing the movie, says, “I can not make an En Thangai Kalyani or Thangaikor Geetham now. Things have totally changed and I am aware of it.”

“Today’s youth prefer films which convey love with humour and energy. So I will not direct sentiment movies henceforth. I am making ‘Oru Thalai Kadhal’ having in mind their expectations. It will be a full-fledged romantic flick.”

“Sincerity and hard work will always pay rich rewards,” TR says and adds: “These words are applicable for any field. When I came to cinema, I did not have crores (kodi), I only had a beard (thaadi). But success came in search of me (ennai thaedi).”
