NAYAN'S NEW DILEMMA

Nayantara is in a new dilemma. The actress had tattooed Prabhu Deva’s name on her hands when she was in madly in love with him. This tattoo is causing her all the problems now. Though Nayan wants to get rid of it, she is confused over the ideas her near and dear ones have been giving.

According to sources, some people have advised the actress to change the tattoo by applying some other design to it. But Nayan thinks that it would be smart to have the tattoo removed through plastic surgery.

MATRAAN AND BILLA 2 - BOTH IN HYDERABAD

The patchwork of Matraan and Billa 2 will be done at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. The shooting of both these films have been completed and just some patchwork needs to be done, say sources.

Directors KV Anand and Chakri Toleti of Matraan and Billa 2 respectively have decided to complete this patchwork on the sets created at the Ramoji Film City. The sets have been erected for the purpose and stars including Suriya, Ajith, and others are said to be camping at the studio to finish the last leg of work before the release.

I pity Vadivelu - Vairamuthu

Ace lyricist Vairamuthu has said that Vadivelu is not a politician and his campaign in support of DMK during the last elections was accidental. Though the comedian is in the wrong, the punishment that the film industry had given to him is very huge said Vairamuthu.

Pitying Vadivelu for his bad fortune, Vairamuthu has said that the film industry is at a loss for missing such a talented comedian.

Four villains in Maatraan and one among them, interestingly is Suriya himself.

There are a total number of four villains in Suriya’s forthcoming venture ‘Maatran’ and one among them, interestingly, is Suriya himself. The other three are Milind Soman, Daniel Balaji and Veera of ‘Nadunisi Naaygal’ fame!

“If one would closely look at the three names, they could find a Gautham Vasudev Menon link. While Milind Soman is the baddie of ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’, Daniel is that of ‘Vettaiyadu Vilayadu’, and Veera was part of ‘Nadunisi Naaygal’,” point out sources.

“This is because of Suriya’s close rapport with Gautham. Both are good friends and had worked together in ‘Kaakka Kaakka’ and ‘Varanam Aayiram’. Suriya, who was impressed with the performance of the three actors, wanted them to cross swords with him in Maatraan,” add sources.

Directed by K V Anand, the film which has Kajal Aggarwal opposite Suriya is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram of AGS Entertainment. Shooting is almost over and Anand is planning to release the movie during summer.

An actor who will do anything for Rajini!

Popular Bollywood star Jackie Shroff has been roped in for Kochadaiyaan. The star says that he could not decline an offer to share the screen space with Rajinikanth as they are good friends.

Jackie, whose Tamil debut was with Aaranya Kandam, says that when Soundarya narrated Kochadaiyaan’s script, he was completely awed. He added that being a film with top grade stars and technicians, it is surely going to be the best.

Soundarya is taking utmost care in shaping up Kochadaiyaan, says Jackie Shroff. He added that if there is one star that his wife likes apart from him, then it is Rajinikanth.

Among them is Vignesh, who pines for a girl in college who doesn't even know that he likes her. Then there's Parvathi's parents, who are on the verge of divorce after 20 years of marriage. Amid all this, Arun reveals what went wrong in his own relationship. But how many of these former lovers will be able to patch things up? For the answer to that, you need to see this expansion by writer/director Balaji Mohan of his acclaimed short film of the same title.

Vijay and Vishal in Shankar's direction

There are reports coming in that Shankar has plans to direct a film adapted from the novel Ponniyin Selvan. Though Mani Ratnam tried to make this film several times before, it did not happen due to various reasons.

Recently, Shankar had said that he is ready to make the film provided he gets a producer who would give him a free hand. Following this, Reliance Big Pictures have come forward to finance the project, say sources.

Sources also add that Vijay will play Vanthiyadevan and Vishal will appear as Raja Raja Cholan in this film.

Prashanth ex-wife's petition dismissed

Prashanth’s ex-wife Grihalakshmi was been implicated in a case for abetting the suicide of her sister-in-law Abhirami. The deceased was the wife of Pon Kumar, brother of Grihalakshmi. Before her death, she had filed a complaint at the police station that her husband Pon Kumar, sister-in-law Grihalakshmi, mother-in-law Sivagami Sundari and others are harassing her for more dowry.

Soon after lodging the complaint, Abhirami committed suicide. It has been alleged that seven people including Grihalakshmi is responsible for this suicide and a case has been registered. Grihalakshmi has now filed a petition to release her from the case but this petition has been dismissed by the court.

Kochadaiyaan puts Deepika in trouble

Deepika Padukone’s decision to opt of Race 2 has put her in trouble. The actress reportedly agreed to star in Race 2 but with Soundarya Rajinikanth offering her a role in Kochadaiyaan, the actress decided to move out of Race 2.

Following this, Race 2’s producer Ramesh Tharani of Tips Films has filed a complaint against Deepika at the Producers’ Council and Actors’ Association in Mumbai. A notice has been issued to Deepika to offer an explanation for opting out of Race 2. If her explanation is not satisfactory, Deepika might have to face a red card, say sources in Bollywood.
