Prashanth’s ex-wife Grihalakshmi was been implicated in a case for abetting the suicide of her sister-in-law Abhirami. The deceased was the wife of Pon Kumar, brother of Grihalakshmi. Before her death, she had filed a complaint at the police station that her husband Pon Kumar, sister-in-law Grihalakshmi, mother-in-law Sivagami Sundari and others are harassing her for more dowry.
Soon after lodging the complaint, Abhirami committed suicide. It has been alleged that seven people including Grihalakshmi is responsible for this suicide and a case has been registered. Grihalakshmi has now filed a petition to release her from the case but this petition has been dismissed by the court.
