Ravendran has produced this film. This film is about 2 archeologists and one young man who is in search of the missing heir of Chozha king. The story of the film begins in 2009 and travels backwards to 12th century. Parthiban is the heir of Chozha king. Reema Sen and Andrea are the two archeologists. Karthi is the young man who assists the two women. Now lot of controversies regarding the story and scenes has risen now. A press meet was arranged to explain about this.
The second half of the film is confusing?
If the film is keenly watched, the audience can understand the film.
Literary dialogues are not understandable?
The dialogues were in accordance to the Chozha period. That is why this took place in the film. I wanted to have sub-titles in these scenes. There is nothing worse than this if I put sub-titles for Tamil.
Whether this film was written keeping the ethnic problems of Sri Lanka in mind?
There is nothing like this. People are telling that this film is adapted from a Hollywood film. But nobody will be able to tell the title of the Hollywood film because the whole story is from my own imagination. Have our imaginations run out so much that we have to depend on Hollywood films.
There are scenes that make women audience flinch?
These comments came from the audience. So immediately we had trimmed these scenes. We have reduced the length of the film by 15 minutes. In the same way we have deleted the violent scenes. People are asking why there should be graphic scenes. Audience should change the thoughts about Tamil cinema. They are telling why you are making Tamil films with songs and fight sequences. I will change this trend and try to give a different type of Tamil cinema.
