Johnny Tri Nguyen is a Vietnamese American film actor. The reason for him to be roped into 7am Arivu is that his interest into films. He did martial arts and performed stunt double in big movies like Spiderman 1&2, X-men, Mortal Kombat, Cradle to the grave and many more. His first anti-role is against Tony Jaa, from the movie Tom Yum Goong. This got him a good name as an artist.
AR Murugadoss who was writing the script based on martial arts, was keen on roping in a person who would suit the role to the utmost. During this period the director heard about the baddie role played by Johnny Tri Nguyen in the Tony Jaa movie. He got so impressed with the smartness of Johnny, so he approached Udhayanidhi Stalin.
When contacted Johnny, he got impressed very well with the Dong Lee role in 7am Arivu and gave his dates to the director. Johnny got a world recognition thro 7am Arivu than all the movies that he had worked so far. Also Tamil Audience was so impressed with Johnny’s screen presence so much, that would have envied Surya himself.
