Lakshmi Rai was approached to play a role in the Karthi starrer Alex Pandian but the actress refused it. Clarifying on this, Lakshmi Rai said that when director Suraaj narrated her part to her, she felt there was no scope for performance. She also stated that Anushka had a very powerful role in Alex Pandian and that will diminish all other actresses.
The actress says that she is sure that Karthi would understand her decision. Lakshmi says that she is looking forward to share the screen space with Karthi in future and if an opportunity to pair up with him comes up, she would not demand single paise for it. Any takers there?
